About Natalie

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. 🌻

I am Natalie, often known as Nat or Nattie.
I’m a 25 year-old Investment Specialist.
Wife to my best friend.
Fur Mama to Gunner 🐈 and Lexi 🐕.

Jesus is the reason I’m still here.

I have big dreams of traveling to the corners of this beautiful Earth and changing the world for the better. 🌎

I volunteer as a Crisis Counselor for the Crisis Text Line.

I have battled Bulimia and self-harm since I was 14 years old, and the war for my soul and my body still wages within me. Recovery is a journey that is never really over.

This blog is simply an outlet for me to share my hopes, dreams, ideas, struggles, adventures, and lessons learned. There is still such a stigma behind mental illness, especially self-harm. More than anything I think it’s all based on people misunderstanding, or not taking the time to understand, those who can’t help but handle their feelings differently than everyone I else. My hope is that one day my words might encourage even one person, or help someone see past another’s scars to who they really are.

  1. I am so proud of you my beautiful sister! Your writing is eloquent, inspirational and absolutely entrancing. Way to go! By the way, I have a dream to do some traveling one day as well. Wouldn’t that be amazing if we could take a trip together as sisters and experience some of the world’s beauty together? I have always been fascinated by other cultures, and feel like I need to experience some more of them before I leave this world (luckily I still have a lot of time to do that). Ironically I was just thinking about that the other day and then I read your blog. 🙂 Love you!!

      • Natale, Your blog was a great testimony to who you are in Christ. Your honesty and openness will draw those to you who automatically fall in love with your spirit. Your association as a volunteer with NEDA is one that will be your legacy that will pull many from the pit they seem to be in and bring them out by the hand of God. God bless you, Natale
Your tribute to Misty was beautiful and another honest, loving expression of your heart. She loved you through the pain and many others and we are all better people for her. Thank you, dear, sweet Natale.
